Achristavest, LLC’s Plan to Demolish the Playground at Seaview and Rochester Avenues

Dear Homeowner:

You may have recently received a letter from Frank L. Corrado, Esquire, Attorney for Achristavest, LLC, sometimes trading as “ICONA”. Frank’s letter advised that a hearing would be held on Achristavest’s application on May 17, 2018. I was subsequently advised that thehearing has been rescheduled to June 21, 2018 at 7:00 pm.

During the summer and occasionally throughout the year my wife, four young kids and I live in the house on the corner of Seaview and Rochester Avenues across from the playground (228 East Rochester). Since Frank’s notice went out a few neighbors asked me about ICONA’s plans, how property intended for a first responder building became a parking lot for the ICONA hotel and why the Township would exchange open space and a playground for eighteen townhomes, an association swimming pool and a shrunken, gated playground. I don’t know the answer. It seemed to me that the many surrounding Lower Township residents loved the playground and dog park.

Anyway, attached are excerpts from Achristavest’s plans. If you e-mail me, I will send you the full set I received from the Township.

Sincerely,
Fran McGovern
